The Urban Climbing Tether is a simple solution for hands free tie off while climbing man-made structures like towers, containers, buildings, or ships. Once girth hitched to a connection point on the operators harness, the UCT has numerous options to connect to the structure with the fifi hook or wrap the the tether around a wider object and secure back to itself. The UCT is constructed out of high strength abrasion resistant kevlar webbing and includes a non-locking Petzl carabiner to facilitate adjusting the length of the tether or providing rigging options that are more secure than the fifi hook only. To avoid the fifi hook dangling while climbing, the UCT features a magnet that secures the hook while not in use. The UCT can also be used a rappel extension.
